RC MIX was founded by Rob Clark, an audio industry veteran who is first and foremost a drummer obsessed with tone.

Rob grew up playing drums and producing records in Florida’s vibrant 2000’s emo / post-hardcore scene and shared the stage with bands like Taking Back Sunday, My Chemical Romance, Bayside and more.

Rob then spent six years living and working in Nashville’s legendary music community and had the pleasure of working with Grammy award winning artists in studios such as Ocean Way Studio A and RCA Studio B.

RC MIX started in LA where Rob has lived and worked for the past decade. Rob spent a number of years with pioneering pro audio brand Apogee Electronics where he helped launch products such as the Ensemble Thunderbolt, Symphony I/O MKII and Apogee’s own lineup of plugins.

The goal of RC MIX is to build tools that don’t exist. After scrambling to get good drum sounds with dozens of vintage analog emulating plugins - RC MIX takes a different approach by using AUTO detection technology to understand each drum, adapt accordingly and honor the drummer’s performance with every hit.
