ATTACK is a transient shaper focused on the initial stick hit of the snare. Reducing attack gives the drum a dark thud great for ballads whereas increasing ATTACK helps the snare cut through a dense mix.
RING uses AUTO to focus on the harmonic overtones only in the resonance of the drum. Reducing RING acts like a felt/mute whereas increasing RING enhances the natural overtones of the drum.
AIR adds high-end sheen to bring a snare to life or accentuate the strainer sound. AIR is enhanced by tube & transistor harmonics when increased. Decreasing air can help control an overly bright or harsh drum.
BODY uses RC MIX’s proprietary AUTO tech to learn the fundamental frequency of the snare drum and give you control of the drum’s foundation.
CRACK implements RC MIX’s AUTO tech to increase or decrease the important high-mid frequencies. Boosting CRACK also excites subtle, analog influenced harmonics.
PUNCH is a parallel compression circuit with added harmonics that thicken the fundamental frequencies of the snare without overly distorting or accentuating brittleness and bleed.
